Dos Condiocionalismos à Mobilidade Social em Portugal: O Caso Particular da Endogamia no Casamento.

RESUMO
O presente estudo pretende analisar se existe ou não endogamia nos casamentos (ou nas uniões de facto), bem como sintonizar se as diferenças de estatuto sócio-económico e de grau de instrução constituem factores de divórcio.
Procurou-se, ainda, averiguar se, no caso de sucesso da relação, o elemento mais “forte” induz uma aproximação do elemento mais “fraco”, contribuindo para uma efectiva mobilidade social vertical na sociedade portuguesa.
Foram tidas em linha de conta contribuições teóricas de vários autores, com destaque para JALOVAARA, sendo, ainda, de destacar que se procedeu a um inquérito com tipificação de várias classes de rendimento e de grau de instrução, tendo sido construída uma função discriminante, com o intuito de classificar o estado civil de um indivíduo.
Convém salientar o trabalho desenvolvido pela Eurosondagem, SA e o apoio concedido pela Fundação Millennium-BCP e pela Universidade Lusíada, sem os quais o presente estudo não teria sido possível.

ABSTRACT
The aim of the present study is to analyze not only if there is inbreeding among marriages (or among unmarried partners), as well as to identify if the differences both of social-economic status and education level constitute a reason for divorce.
The present study also aims at checking if, in the case of a successful relationship, the “strongest” element leads to the approach of the “weakest” element, thus creating a vertical social effective mobility within the Portuguese society.
As regards such matter, theoretical contributions of various authors were taken into consideration, namely JALOVAARA.
An enquiry was also carried out, which was duly classified according to several family income classes and education levels and a discriminating function was also created with the view of classifying the marital status of an individual.
Emphasis shall also be given to the work developed by Eurosondagem,SA and to the support given by both Fundação Millennium-BCP and Universidade Lusíada, without which such study would not be feasible.
